It is really the Old Testament concept of tithing. Every good thing we have - even our very lives - comes to us from God. And it doesn't come in an unlimited fashion. The gifts we have received are loans to us, from God, to be used according to His plan. If you doubt that, take a moment to think about what "possessions" you are going to bring out of this world with you!"Where your heart is, so will be your treasure." (Mt. 6:21)
Stewardship is a way of life..It is a comprehensive concept, recognizing that we respond to God's generosity, not because we have to, but because God's own goodness draws us to respond. The Bible tells us: "The first of the fruits...shall you bring unto the house of the Lord your God." (Ex. 23:19).
St. Peter says: "As generous distributors of God's manifold grace, put your gifts at the service of one another, each in the measure he has received." (1 Peter 4:8-10).
So, it becomes a leap of faith - and we invite you to take that leap of faith! We at Christ Our King and Savior Church have been blessed as a parish by the Lord in many ways. It begins with our Eucharistic celebration and extends to our community of faith.
Finances are essential to maintaining our ministry, and we greatly appreciate the generous support we receive from our parishioners and our visitors in doing God’s work.
To help make it more convenient for you to support the parish financially, we now offer Electronic Online Giving for your convenience. Save time, simplify your life, and support our parish. It is fast, secure, and easy! Our online giving program is an automated program that will allow you to make contributions without having to write a check or reach into your wallet for cash. WHAT IS AN ENDOWMENT FUND?
An endowment fund is an opportunity to help secure the financial well-being of our parish now and in the future. It helps ensure the future of the parish and sustain your mission now and forever. Gifts are protected by law and cannot be spent, are professionally invested, and grow over time. Your parish is the sole beneficiary of your parish endowment fund.
As the value of the endowment fund grows, your parish receives an annual distribution grant that comes from the earnings of the fund. The distribution grant can be used in many ways to support the needs of your parish.
Support your parish endowment fund by using the link below to make a gift today!
In addition to online gifts, you can contribute to your parish's endowment fund through cash, a check, appreciated stock, IRA QCDs, non-cash assets such as real estate or collections, or leaving a gift in your will. To learn about giving options, please get in touch with the Catholic Foundation of North Georgia at 404-497-9440 or email us.

This year, the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal theme is 'We are One Body in Christ'. The theme of this year’s annual appeal was chosen to remind us that we, as members of the Church, are called to work together for the common good, each of us playing a vital role in the mission of Christ. Our Archdiocese is a living example of this unity—one body made up of many faithful members, each essential to the vitality of the whole. Through your generous gifts, we can continue the work we were called to do as Christians: educate our seminarians, support our retired priests, provide catechesis to our children and protect the rights of the unborn. Please be generous in your response.
Serving more than one million Catholics, the mission of the Archdiocese of Atlanta is to proclaim the Gospel of the Lord and grow all of north and central Georgia in faith, hope, love, and service to others. Our theme for the appeal this year is “We are One Body in Christ.” Your gift and participation in the 2025 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal helps make it possible by supporting the ministerial, outreach, education, formation, and discipleship work of the Archdiocese of Atlanta. Please give prayerful consideration to your level of support to help fund the essential ministries and services supported by the Appeal.
†Archbishop Gregory J. Hartmayer, OFM Conv

WHO ARE WE?
We are COKAS parishioners, called to serve our Neighbors in Need in Greene, Putnam, and Hancock Counties by providing emergency financial assistance for rent, temporary lodging, utilities, food, clothing, prescription medication, transportation assistance, and more.
WHAT WE DO
Focusing on hunger, housing, and health, St. Vincent de Paul at COKAS meets basic needs, removes barriers to stability, and creates paths to self-sufficiency through direct services, education, and empowerment to provide help and hope to neighbors in need in the tri-county area.
HOME VISITS
Our Home Visit is the heart of what we do at St. Vincent de Paul at COKAS. Visiting neighbors in need in their homes respects their dignity and provides a private setting so they can freely discuss their challenges. During Home Visits, our caseworkers conduct an initial assessment and then collaborate with individuals and families to create an action plan for them moving forward. We help them achieve stability by providing short-term financial assistance and caring spiritual support.
OUR MISSION
With a mission to provide help and hope to neighbors in need, St. Vincent de Paul at COKAS serves individuals, families, and communities in Middle Georgia, stabilizing those in crisis and creating paths to self-sufficiency.
OUR IMPACT
Each year, St. Vincent de Paul at COKAS helps over 1,500 families. We give direct aid through temporary housing, rent, utilities, food, clothing, and household goods. Click to read the 2023 Impact Report.
DONATE
We rely upon the donations of our generous parishioners to provide financial assistance to our Neighbors in Need. Please donate to the monthly second collection for SVdP or give online through the COKAS website.
HOW TO BECOME INVOLVED
To learn more about our ministry, we welcome you to our monthly meeting, which is held at 9:30 a.m. on the last Wednesday of each month in the Social Hall.
